It’s been a very busy year for both me and Christopher. Christopher was initially seen by a talent scout in the mall in August of last year. We joined The Hollywood Group shortly after, and were given the pleasure of having Mitra as our Coordinator. Mitra has given us great guidance, she is very knowledgeable and a lot of fun to just talk to!
All of the classes that The Hollywood Group has referred us to have been very informative and fun, but Voice Workshop was Christopher’s favorite. Through all of the classes he has become more confident with himself. I think self confidence learned at a young age like this is priceless, a lot of adults are still struggling with that one.
Christopher has been very busy with background work through Kids! Management. The background work has been a lot of fun and a lot of work, and I’m proud that he has stuck to the commitments he has made. It’s not easy to be on the set at 5am, or doing a winter scene in 100 degree weather with ski clothes on...he has stepped up to the plate and has gone back for more. He has truly enjoyed the work he has done thus far. Here is some of the work he has done: Desperate Housewives, Cold Case, Brothers and Sisters, Couples Retreat, Hallmark made for TV movie A Soldiers Love Story, Walden University (commercial), Eastwick (TV pilot) , Disney’s Zeke and Luther, Disney educational DVD called Science of Imagineering, and lastly an interview for a photo double position on the upcoming movie Valentine’s Day (Ashton Kutcher, Julia Roberts, Ann Hathaway). He’s looking forward to his showcase on August 1st. He’s excited to go the next step and have some speaking parts! The Hollywood Group has done a nice job preparing us for this point. It’s been an easy progression so that Christopher is really ready for the next step. I think if it were to have happened too fast without classes and some preparedness, it would have been too overwhelming.
Thanks for giving us this opportunity for this wonderful adventure! To be able to see how Christopher has grown and to watch his motivation and drive to succeed for me has been worth it. Everything else will be a bonus!
