Alexis Rae Park has known since the age of 5 that her passion for singing and acting was great and that being on stage was as natural to her as breathing.
Alexis has had the good fortune of securing roles such as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Veruca in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Frenchy in Grease, Maria in the Sound of Music, and Father Darling in Neverland. For the last five years she’s been taking singing lessons and had the wonderful opportunity of singing with the San Diego Symphony’s production of Lord of the Rings.
She has always wanted an agent, but didn’t know where to start because of lack of knowledge about the entertainment industry. We had a experience with a local agency but left feeling very disillusioned.
However, several years later, what seemed to be a dream soon became a reality. During a trip to the mall for a friend’s birthday in November of 2007, Alexis and her friends were approached by talent scout, Shannon Fitzpatrick, and were invited to a screen test the following day. Alexis came home with stars in her eyes asking if she could go. All we could think of was “oh no, not again.” The next day Alexis’s father returned from the screen test thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of the process and believed that The Hollywood Group “had their stuff together.”
The day after her screen test, Alexis received a call letting her know that The Hollywood Group was interested and we set up an appointment to meet with Talent Coordinator, David Banks. He explained the program and it all made sense to us. It sounded too good to be true. We signed Alexis up right then and there. Soon after becoming a member, Alexis attended workshops where she made long-lasting friendships and felt at ease with other like-minded kids that shared her passion for acting. Her first showcase also went well and agent, Bonnie Howard, of Howard Talent West Agency, approached Alexis regarding representation. We decided to sign a two year contract.
We’re moving right along and we feel certain that we would not be following this path had it not been for the excellent preparation by The Hollywood Group.
We’re thoroughly impressed by the professionalism, organization and genuine feeling of concern we feel from the entire staff at The Hollywood Group.
