John has worked at The Hollywood Group since its inception in 2001. A Wisconsin native, John received his BFA studying film and communication arts while graduating with honors from Chapman University in Orange, CA. For three seasons, he anchored television commentary for the Sheboygan Red Raider high school hockey games. John was the Writer, Producer, Director of “Vital Signs” and “Baseball & Bullets.” These short films, praised by students and faculty alike, won numerous awards including the Audience Award and others for technical achievements. He also wrote and co-hosted “Hollywood 2000,” a television pilot devoted to breaking down the industry’s most celebrated films. John was chosen as a finalist to co-host Season 1 of the Fox mega hit “American Idol.” John is a self-proclaimed “cinema savant” and his tremendous passion for this one-of-a-kind industry shines through in all he does at The Hollywood Group!
